Weekend Update Blog Hop

Hello Lovers!

It's that time again..
Weekend Update Blog Hop!

Here's the deal:
Write a post about your weekend

Meet new friends!

Sounds like fun right?
*All we ask is that you add our button or include a link-back to us.*
We do go through and read/comment on all of the posts so unfortunately,
if you don't give us any credit we will have to delete your submission!
We don't want to do that though, so please play by the rules :)

one. My ELF makeup haul from their 50% off sale! Can't wait to review these products soon.

two. My $184 grocery shopping trip nearly killed me! I was out of everything and hopefully won't be grocery shopping again for a month.

three. My first trip to Menchies froyo. They didn't have any fruit which was a huge bummer.

four. Got suckered into signing up for the Target debit card! Hey, I don't mind the 5% off.

one. Sending off some packages to three lovely ladies all over the US!

two. Throwback jam! Love me some old school X-tina.

three. Delicious dinner on Saturday night. Quinoa Fried Rice topped with a Teriyaki Salmon burger! Yum yum.

four. My sweet girl loves to snuggle and I don't mind it one bit.

This weekend was pretty low key with lots of family time. It's been about a month since my Uncle's accident so I thought I would do a little update. He is still in the hospital but has made some great strides in his recovery. We hope to have him at a rehab center later this week and hopefully at home in a few more weeks. We are all cheering him on and he has been a trooper! Thanks for all of your sweet messages and thoughts, it means a lot!

What did you do this weekend?
Link-up and share!

Happy Monday!

I always wait until my kitchen is getting dangerously low before hitting the store, then walking away with a $200 loot of groceries. Glad I'm not the only one! I'm anxious to hear what you think of the ELF products, I didn't get anything from the sale, though I had a ton of products in my cart, because I just wasn't *sure* about them.

Thanks for hosting :)

I got a few Elf products last week too!! I am LOVING the primer and the pressed powder. Can't wait to see what you think about what you bought!!

Glad to hear that your uncle is doing better as well :-) Here's to a speedy recovery!!

Aaaaaand froyo without fruit?? Blasphemy!! I only get a fruit concoction like every fourth trip to my froyo place (love me some chocolate and espresso!!) but fruit is a staple at froyos!! Bummer :-(

Happy Monday, Sami!

Eeeek, I took an expensive grocery shopping trip this weekend too. Aren't they the worst?! There are so many other things I'd rather spend my money on! On a positive note, old school x-tina is the best, as well as any song on the Spice Girls Pandora station. I'm glad to hear your uncle is making steps forward in his recovery! Keep us posted on how he's doing :)

Well I don't live in Oklahoma, California or New York, so I guess my package is going in the mail with a different batch. That's cool. I mean, I bought a house with au pair quarters just for you.

The target debit card is the best. I've only had it for a few months, but I get so excited at the bottom of the receipt when it tells me how much I've saved year to date. That 5% really adds up!

I'm so glad to hear that your uncle is making good progress. Keep us posted.

Can't wait to read your elf reviews, it's so much cheaper but I just never know if it's any good. And $184?! Man that's rough!
Glad to hear your uncle is doing better!

So glad your uncle is making progress!

I totally need to get that card at Target. I always forget every time I go in there.

Hope you have a great week!

Spending money at the grocery store is the worst... seriously.

And I almost got sucked into the Target card too, but I stood firm. I will probably cave next time though haha!

I've been listening to the Spice Girls Pandora station all week and weekend. Any song on there is fantastic, including Xtina!
I would also like to know how I did not know Elf was having a sale...and I too was previously suckered into the Target Debit card...but it's nice to save a penny here and there!
Sounds like a great weekend!

When I saw your bill on IG I was seriously laughing out loud. I have to go tomorrow and if it makes you feel any better, my bill always hits $250...it breaks my heart every time! I have been wondering about the Target card. So, is it like a debit card?? Fill me. ;) Thanks for hosting, as always! ;)

Grocery shopping gets me everytime...especially when my husband acts like a 5 year old and just throws random things in the cart and I end up buying them! YUM Menchies! Looks like a nice weekend to me. :)

OMG Christina looked SO MUCH MORE NORMAL back in those days! I'd forgotten what she looks like without the orange skin + white hair + dark red lips + outlandish style look going on.

I just got my elf package from that same sale--so eager to try everything out!
