Hello Lovelies!
If you've ever taken a long road trip by yourself, you know the importance of good music to help the drive not seem so bad. Going to school in Oklahoma I traveled back and forth quite a few times, which was a 7 hr drive each way. I always put my iPod on shuffle because it had over 5000 songs on it, but it never failed that I would skip over quite a few depending on my mood. This list is the songs that no matter what, I always listened to! You could also just go ahead and call them my 15 favorite songs.. but what's the fun in that :)
1. Justin Timberlake "What Goes Around/Comes Around"
I'll say it once, and I'll say it again.. Justin Timberlake should stop making movies and go back to music, it's what he's good at. This song is long (7 minutes) but it's my all-time favorite. It's such a great breakup song and it never gets old!

2. Gavin DeGraw "More than Anyone"
Yes, it was hard to pick just one Gavin DeGraw song but this has been my favorite since I first started listening to him. Seeing him perform this live, only once or twice I believe, is one of my favorite concert moments. It's a great love song!
3. Kanye West "Stronger"
This song brings me right back to my freshman year of college, because it was my ring tone. Yes, that's mildly embarrassing, but this song never gets old and I love when I randomly hear it because it brings back so many good memories!

4. John Mayer "I Don't Trust Myself"
It was really hard to choose this song over "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" because they are both so good, but this one had more plays in my iTunes so I picked it instead. This is the epitome of a good John Mayer song, slow with a guitar and no frills.

5. OneRepublic "Say All I Need"
Again hard to pick just one of their songs because I love them all but this one has always been a favorite. This is from their first album, when nobody knew them other than their super popular song with Timbaland "Apologize".
6. Jay Z and Kanye West "Otis"
I'm pretty sure this is the most recent song on this list but it's another I always get excited to hear it. I still think "Watch the Throne" was a genius collaboration.
7. Dexter Freebish "Leaving Town"
This song is a really random one hit wonder that I couldn't even find a good youtube video for it but I used it in a slide show my senior year of high school and it will forever bring back memories of moving to Oklahoma for college.
8. Needtobreathe "Don't Wait for Daylight"
I discovered this band when they opened up for Gavin DeGraw and I've loved them ever since. All of their songs are really good but this one is definitely my favorite!

9. Green River Ordinance "Endlessly"
Another band I found after they opened for Gavin DeGraw, he has great taste.. obviously ;) I think this song is so cute and it always puts me in a good mood, plus I've met the band and they are awesome group of guys!
10. Kid Cudi "Soundtrack to my Life"
I love pretty much everything that Kid Cudi does but this song has always been one of my favorites! You've probably heard it on a commercial or TV show because I feel like it gets used alot.
11. Maroon 5 "Secret"
This is hands down Maroon 5's greatest song in my opinion. It's definitely underrated! Seeing them perform it live last summer was amazing.

12. Jimmy Eat World "Hear You Me"
I posted the other day that this song reminded me of the Hilary Duff movie "A Cinderella Story" so of course I used a video montage from the movie. I've always loved this song, it's such a good sad song!

13. Eli Young Band "Radio Waves"
I will forever have Oklahoma State to thank for me loving this band. I hated country music before I went to college and it's still not my favorite, but I love everything about this band! Their newest album is my favorite, but this is the best song from their older albums.

14. Augustana "Boston"
I feel like everyone has has heard this song at some point because it's been featured in so many TV show and movies but I still love it.
15. Robyn "Dancing On My Own"
I just realized this is the only song on the list that is sung by a girl. Clearly I like male musicians more than female? This song will forever remind me of episode of Girls where Hannah is dancing in her room at the end of the episode. Enough said really.
I probably could have made this list at least 30 songs long, but I wanted to keep it relatively short, but now I feel like I left some good songs out. I think a part 2 is in the works!
What are your favorite songs?
Have a great day!

Love these! Especially the Robyn one, and Dexter Freebish! I totally remember that one.
Love me some Justin Timberlake - I have both his albums on my ipod and I listen to them both still like they're new. He's adorable too!
Totally going to jam out at work now! Thanks! Stronger reminds me of my freshman year, too!
Fun post! A few songs that I love and never skip on shuffle are:
Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House
Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots
Crazy by Patsy Cline
These are literally the best songs ever. I CANNOT skip Leaving Town.
Sami! This was really so fun! I haven't heard of a few of these and so I listened to the Jimmy Eat World one...OMG! I am downloading it today...and I need to watch the Cinderella Story...am I a dork?
Adore Say(All I Need)! and thanks for sharing that maroon 5 song. I had never heard it before and now love it.
You have a great taste in music, I love every song you've posed! I wouldn't skip any of these songs either. :) Wonderful post.
I love JT!
The other day one of his songs came on the radio and I was singling like anyone should and M said "this guys still on the radio? He sucks" I was instantly offended for JT
Everything about that Robyn album is flawless but I pretty much lose it rocking out anytime that song comes on and it's definitely because of Hannah.
Also, yes to Leaving Town, John Mayer, and Jimmy Eat World. I would love to see Part 2!
GREAT LIST!! I have a playlist on Spotify of my FAVORITE songs-- ones that I NEVER skip as well, how funny ;-) Maybe I'll have to steal your idea and play along sometime.
So JM is soooo effing amazing. I just love him. I can't choose between Burning Room, Heart of Life, and Edge of Desire as my favorite John Mayer songs. I loooove that Dexter Freebish song TOO!! And Needtobreathe is a great band. I wish I could say that I've seen Maroon5 in person :-( So neat that you have!!
