It's the post you've all been waiting for.. okay maybe just me. I mean I was personally anticipating the awards all day on Sunday because critiquing others fashion just happens to be one of my favorite past times! Okay fine I just like to look at pretty dresses.. that's all.
The ladies turned it out for the Golden Globes and now I am in the awards show season mood. I'm ready for the next one, and I hope you are too!

Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta
Well Brad Goreski, you did it again! I love everything about this look.. the dress, the hair, the makeup, the jewels, and yes the clutch! She just looks so incredibly fabulous and the fit of the dress is stunning on her. It doesn't get much more perfect than this. Not one single flaw that I can even comment on.
Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen
Oh girl. I am all about some McQueen in my life and Kate Hudson killed it (Nicole Kidman? Not so much). This is how you do a cutout on the red carpet. At first I thought I would have liked to see her hair up, but I think that the natural hair actually helps this look not be too in your face. She has an incredible body, especially after not having a baby too long ago. Gorgeous, hands down!
Julianne Hough in Monique Lhuillier
Finally, Julianne Hough wears something that doesn't make me cringe. This dress is right on the edge of being too pageanty but the sass from the hair, makeup, and jewels helps her pull away from that. I love that it almost looks like she was wearing a white tulle dress and someone just poured gold sparkles on her. To die for! I won't lie though.. every time I see an interaction between her and Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet I am still puzzled by their relationship. Aren't you?
Salma Hayek in Gucci
Perfection in a sparkly black dress. Salma looks so effortless in this and I just love it. The bow is on point because it doesn't compromise her amazing figure and the top is fitted perfectly which is a challenge for someone so top heavy. Adore the pop of blue earrings and the red lip. LOVE this look!
Tina Fey in L'Wren Scott
I wasn't overly thrilled with her red carpet dress, but this sparkler won me over. This dress is so perfect on her figure and it's not coming through as well here as it did on TV, but the color was amazing! I'm betting that sometime in the last year she picked up a new stylist because she is looking better than ever. Loving her va-va-voom hair too! Amy? Ehhh. Too much cleave in everything she wore all night.
WORST
Claire Danes in Versace
Don't throw daggers at me just yet.. let me preface this by saying that yes she does in fact look amazing for having a baby just one month ago. That doesn't mean this is the right dress. The ruching just screams department store to me and her hair and makeup just aren't doing anything for her. I have to say this is a downgrade from her adorable yellow dress while pregnant. Sorry Claire!

What in the world is this? I'm usually a huge fan of hers and love what she wears, but this I cannot get behind. I have Fashion Police waiting on my DVR from last night and I hope to god they called her out on this travesty. She looks like she's being choked by the top of the dress and this is what my hair looks like when I wake up late and don't feel like washing it. Sad part is that her after party dress was SO cute.
Taylor Swift in Donna Karan Atelier
Oh look it's T.Swift again, pretending that she's decades older than she actually is. This dress would have been so better suited to someone older and more sophisticated. It's too much for little miss heart breaker. The matchy matchy earrings? Also not cute. I wish I was her stylist, I have SO many idea for her.
Lucy Liu in Carolina Herrera
I really didn't want to hate this dress. Honest. I contemplated this for a long time before I committed. I just cannot handle this fabric that looks like it came from an old lady's couch. The dress itself is gorgeous. It fits her perfectly, although I can't imagine how heavy it must be! I love that Lucy takes risks on the red carpet, but there is always something just a tiny bit off about them that ruins it. Loving the Katniss hair though!
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
Oh look it's JLo again, pretending that she's decades younger than she actually is. You won't hear me say anything about her body, because yes she looks good. However, at one point do you decide that you need to stop wearing nude illusion and tight fitting? She can in fact look good in something that isn't hoochie mama and I'm just waiting for her to realize that.

Love, love, love. She looks like a princess in this, and it fits her flawlessly. There's not as much oomph as we are used to from a Marchesa gown, but it's stunning nonetheless. This is the perfect nude\rose color for her complexion. Here's to hoping they dress more than one lady for the Oscars!

I love that she took such a big risk in her red carpet look and I almost love it, but there's a small part of me that says this is too dominatrix. Maybe it's the shoe, or maybe it's the slit? I can't decide.
Nicole Richie in Naeem Khan
Again, I love this but there's something holding me back from calling it a best dressed. Maybe it's the blue eyeshadow? Maybe it's the clutch that doesn't match? I will say that this color looks unbelievable on her. There was so much of this blue color and I can't wait to see more of it for Spring! Her hair also looks perfect!
Kerry Washington in Miu Miu
I really think that Kerry is just perfection. She is so tiny and pretty and I think she's adorable. But I'll say it once and I'll say it again.. short dresses have no place on the red carpet, especially ones with a mini skirt under an overlay. If the tan slip went to the ground and those sparkles kept going? 100% best dressed. So close, yet so far away!
Thoughts on the show?
I loved Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as hosts and I was so excited to see Girls take home two awards! Anne Hathaway was acting super weird, (like when she was hanging on Amanda Seyfried during the Les Miserables Best Picture acceptance speech) she may or may not be losing it. Ben Affleck loves Jennifer Garner so much and I think they are such an adorable couple. Oh, and Tommy Lee Jones was not impressed with Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrel.

I agree with you...Jessica Alba looked stunning! Taylor Swift's dress really bothered me...I couldn't stand the wrinkles either. I also thought Hayden Panettierre looked gorgeous.

I think Sienna Miller was my worst dressed, along with Lucy Lu, and i think Hayden was the best dressed of the night, elegant, simply and yet classy.
I agree with most of your other ones, taylor's dress left me uncomfortable as i agree with you and think she was trying to be older then she is, but i deffo dont agree with the Jennifer Lopez, i loved her dress and thought she looked absolutely stunning, even at that age. :)

I did my own recap yesterday and apparently ... we don't see eye to eye on Claire Danes and Lucy Liu fully ... but that's ok ;-) I hated Richie's eye shadow but I guess the dress wasn't too bad? Kerry Washington looked like a child, put some curves on that girl!
I adored Julianne's dress and look, it was stunning!

I just loved the way Claire Danes looked! I think the picture doesn't really do her justice, rather seeing her move in it. Her hair looked incredible for me. Makeup...I think it doesn't look that great and her face looks a little washed out. I just loved her hair, though. lol. Amy Adams, on the other hand. OMG. Perfection. And I agree with everything else :)
Giuliana Rancic looks like a wreck; I have never seen her look like this. Defiantly not normal for her to look like that.
My favorite was Kerry Washington's! I totally loved it and thought she looked incredible. My least favorite is Taylor Swift's--it looks like a freakin 90's prom dress with that straight neckline and thin straps. WTF was she thinking??
