Do you guys remember the books, and then movie Confessions of a Shopaholic? Well it should come as no surprise to most of you that I really related to Rebecca Bloomwood and her daily shopping struggles. Oh a sale? Can't miss out! This coupon is going to expire? Well I better use it.
It's the thrill of the find and I've been that way as long as I can remember. You see the dress and it's in your size, you try it on and it looks good, you look at the tag and it's ON SALE.. all the while your palms are sweating and your heart is racing. If you're a shopaholic then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

A few months later, I saw my girl Courtney Kerr wearing the handbag in red and I fell in love all over again. I did the usual bargaining.. I don't own a red handbag and I've been eyeing it for months. I even put it on my Birthday and Christmas list, and yet still I never owned it.
Then the straw that almost broke the camel's back.. I was in Dallas with my bestie Jen a few weeks ago and I saw my dream handbag hanging on the racks of Neiman Marcus' CUSP department. It was the first time I'd seen it in person. I tried it on and looked in the mirror and swooned. Again the bargaining occurred, but I had already spent too much money on my trip.. I put it back.
Then it happened..
Right after I got back from Dallas, I checked my emails and saw that Gilt was having a Deux Lux sale. I rolled my eyes, knowing that my favorite handbag would not be in the sale but I checked anyways. I think I may have squealed when I saw it, and for less than $100.. JACKPOT! The red wasn't available so I asked my trusty Instagram friends if I should get the black or blush, and then made my purchase. Yesterday my mail man left a box at the back door and I jumped up and down in excitement. Now I am the proud owner of the handbag that almost never was and I couldn't be happier!
Yes, I realize I just essentially wrote a love letter about a handbag. Please don't make me go to Shopaholics Anonymous.

Pretty sure those series were written about me. I mean, my name is Rebecca (family/friends call me Becky), I too am a shopaholic..I could go on and on and on. I am sure there are no other Rebecca's in the world that are shopaholics like me, right?

I can relate to the shopaholic nonsense!! I'm the SAME way!! And I wait and wait and wait... and i'm still waiting on my $600 MK purse i'm swooning over... I actually put on my 30 before 30 list on Monday! lol... awful I know. PIKO tios is my other obsession.. I own 8 of them and they are only $32!! If you haven't looked into those I suggest you start!:) As for your lie- i'm going with the 3 CC's!

This post was made for me. Especially after this weekend on which I just so happened to drop over $500 on clothes and accessories. The way you feel about your bag is the way I felt about my MK watch I bought this weekend. I have been eying it for months and months. Finally snapped and got it. Win. Just not for my bank account. Love your bag. Treats for a girl are just as important as a hair appointment! I think you exaggerated in the shoe department..?!
